Space Engineers is currently in alpha and these are only the preliminary specifications. Hardware requirements could increase or decrease depending on future iterations. As of now, here are the current specs for Space Engineers:

Minimum Requirements Recommended Requirements
* OS: Microsoft Windows XP (latest SP)
  • Processor: Intel Core2 Duo 2.0 GHz (or AMD equivalent)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT / ATI Radeon HD 3870 / Intel HD Graphics 4000
  • DirectX: 9.0c
  • Hard Drive: 2 GB free HDD space
  • Audio: DirectX® compatible on-board
